You know how friends have all sorts of weird conversations.... start one up about toiletries or whatever and move to deoderant. Say that you switched or something and the new kind totally sucks then ask what kind ur friend uses and then suggest a good one....
something like that, of course not by that script. If its a good friend, you'd know how to follow the flow of the conversation. They might think you thought nothing of the convo but they might start wondering if they're deoderant sucks and check their own pits.

Buy 2 new deodorants - give him one and say you thought you'd try it and if he tries it too you can both judge how it works. You are a good friend and it won't offend him if you handle it right. Good luck!

Just tell him/her. If you are giving advice that helps someone...they should not be offended. If it offends them, then you are prolly better off without them.

thats almost as bad as telling someone they need to bathe. I would tell this person in private to avoid further embarrassment. be kind be gentle but dont beat around the bush , get to the point and dont tell everyone you know that you had to do this

tell them that it will give stains on the shirt they are wearing and that deorderant is the best way to go..
