Why are we eating this poison in so many foods? Did Gramma use it in her recipes? We need to stop eating these processed foods that contain this poison. Our society is committing genocide.

high fructose corn syrup is an industrial product - there is serious concern about the effect this has on people's health. Because it's an industrially made syrup, our body does not recognize it as a natural ingredient (such as carbs or fat) and therefore is not able to process it properly. It accumulates in our body and causes different health issues.

at the grocery Karo syrup is HFCS with vanilla
It is kind of Grandmalike as it is a well known recipe item

Splenda tastes better

Historically sugar is associated with part of what the civil war was about
HFCS is made from the highly automated harvest of corn it has a better civil rights track record than sugar

HFCS will cease to be a frequent ngredient if ethanol fuels become popular as it is only economically feasible with high sugar import taxes and farmers producing too much corn. The sugar tax is reputedly there to protect the corn farmers.

Most grocery stores sell high fructose corn syrup, most famously under the Karo name brand, in the baking supply aisle.

I understand how you feel about the processed foods and I agree. Many of those foods have ingredients in them that make people overeat. Many nutritionists would categorize high fructose corn syrup as bad for your health along with white, refined sugar.

Actually cane sugar be more potentially poisonous since be more acidic than corn syrup since corn and everything that comes from them be alkaline. Corn syrup should not be added to fruit juices that the main production item shoved on our shelves. simply so not buy it then = avoid fruit juices cheap and jams and preserves and youll be fine.

I don't know about your grandma.. but my grandma cooked with it... it's called Karo syrup.... comes in the light and dark formula...light is corn.. and dark is molasses....

The problem isn't the syrup.. it's that most companies add WAY to much of it... it's empty calories...

Did you know before baby formula's were developed and widley available... many babies that had issue with breast milk.. or whole milk.. were put on a home made formula that included karo syrup??? I was one of them... and at 40.. pretty dang healthy...

I agree the things we eat these days is not good for us period, I know that being young we eat what we want but we need to realize that the things we eat majority of it aint good for the body. I think if we listened in health class in high school that fruits and vegtables are good for the body. Eating at mcdonalds or KFC is not a good choice to make.
