My fiance has recently adopted a god daughter without my prior knowledge. I have not met the little girl but I have heard from others that he treats her like a little princess. He buys her things and carries her around like she is his own daughter. I am jealous because she has a mother but her father is a deadbeat. He wants to help both of them out. I am concerned he will focus more of his attention on her than on me. And we plan to have children of our own. Help!

My fiance is not the little girl's real father. The girl has a deadbeat father, but she has become very attached to my man because she views him as a father figure. And my man sees her as his own daughter.

I'm just not happy about this.

you make perfectly good sense to me. how old is the girl dose'nt he have to see the girls mother in order to pick her up something is not adding up right. that should happen after you get married and get use to each other first. that decison is after marriage not before.

Its not a 17 year old Russian girl that he adopted is it? Cuz I've been thinking about doing that also.

Honestly, I think you are being selfish. 99% of women would love to see that they are with a man that can be such a good father. You need to spend time with them together more. Sounds like he did a great thing. You got a good guy on your hands, don;t let jealousy ruin that.

Whoa, whoa. Back up. He was able to go through adoption proceedings without your knowledge?

I think you two need to sit down and talk. If he is the little girl's legal guardian, he NEEDED to discuss this with you.

If you talk and decide to stay together, you will have to understand that children mean parents can't be selfish. He has to pay attention to you and the children; you should do the same. Learning to love that little girl will be rewarding, I swear.

don't be jealous of a little girl....stupid...he is just being nice...he will love your children more than anything...and atleast you know he is good with kids...lol..just let him have his love for this young girl, but when you have your own kids he will focus on you and them...but he will still want to have this god daughter in his life...its his duty to love her..
