Watch the movie "There's Something About Mary" - it should be self explanatory.

hair glue or paste. try not to use gel, it normally doesnt stay long and it dries out quick leaving this nasty white flaky residue. its really hard to find a great looking hair style for long spiky hair. try not to go overboard on your spikes like a child in grade school. for a sophisticated look, try swiping side spikes you know they have height but kinda spike in a side eh.. lemme find you a picture of what Im trying to say.

Try Got 2 B Glued. When I used to do my fauxhawk I used it. It was the only stuff that kept it sticking up. The same company also makes hairspray. But I don't know how well it works.

My brother uses Demented hair gel and it works very well. It lasts the whole day. Its green but it goes on clear. You should try it.
