Maybe you have time to do some upper arm exercises before the wedding? Also, reconsider a strapless dress! Or maybe a veil that covers your arms, or a lace shrug (covers the shoulders and upper arms only). You'll look beautiful no matter what! It's YOUR day! P.S. 14-16 is a pretty average size in REAL life, just eat well and get lots of rest before the big day.

Well, if you're not comfortable with the way your upper arms look, then you're not going to be comfortable in a strapless dress. You have options though, you can generally have a dressmaker sew on small cap sleeves to a strapless dress. You can also drape a shawl over your shoulders. You can also do an off the shoulder neckline, that will show off the top of your shoulders and neck, but hide your upper arms (especially underneath!). You want to feel like a princess on your wedding day, so wear a dress that will help you feel that way, don't wear something that will be displaying a part of your body you're not comfortable with. Good luck!
p.s. Marilyn Monroe was a size 14......so you're not fat!!!

I don't think you probably look fat at all with a size 14-16. But if you're really worried about it...get a dress that's mostly strapless but that maybe has some lace on the arms to cover up a bit or a shaw or something. Actually, if you're self-conscious about it the best thing you can probably do is not get a strapless wedding dress because you won't be happy in it. Either that or work those arms into shape. :)

Your arms aren't probably half as bad as you imagine and all ideas given to you would be fine. However if you are going to be continually conscience of a stole etc slippping or that you can see through lace etc it will be an absolute nuisance to you and you will not be as relaxed and enjoy your big day as you should. With size 14 - 16 your arms cannot be outragiously fat and you would probably look terrific with a strapless dress, wearing accessories would probably draw more peoples attention to your arms. I know nobody can convince you if you still feel you don't want to show your arms but then PLEASE go for a stylish dress with sleeves of sorts. If you have not chose your dress yet sounds like you have quite awhile to the wedding .It's amazing how much weight can be lost in a couple of months if you really try. Even for your arms if you get 2 big tins of beans, one in each hand. putting your arms straight out and then bending from the elbow in to your shoulders this will soon tone up your upper arms. Best of luck.

I would suggest wearing whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. If you arms really bother you that much but you MUST wear a strapless dress, then perhaps you may want to consider a mantilla veil that will cover your upper arms and shoulders. Otherwise, if you have enough time, I would suggest pushups and tricep extensions to tone up those arms for your special day! Whatever you do though, don't wear a dress with sleeves because the white fabric will bring attention to your arms.

I would not get a strapless wedding gown. I would get a gown with lace cap sleeves or a lace shrug over the strapless gown. But don't show your arms. Believe me there are georgeous wedding gowns out there and there is a style for every figure and figure fault. Try David's Bridal...and of course shop around in your home town. I am sure you are going to make a beautiful bride. Also, with the bridal veil and headdress, keep it simple.

I was the same way and coincidently the same size.I went to Davids Bridal and found that my arms looked huge in the strapless dress that I loved.I wanted to wear something different for my wedding because usually I do not wear strapless. Anyway They showed me this really cute bolero jacket that looked really nice with the dress. It was a short jacket with long sleeves. That could be a really nice option for you. Go to you nearest davids bridal and ask if they have any that you could try on with your dress.
Good luck and congratulations!!!

There's not much you can do. I think strapless wedding gowns are beautiful but if you're insecure about your arms, then maybe you shouldn't wear it. It's your day and the only thing you should be feeling is happy and confident! Try doing some arm exercises to tone them up.

What you could do is where your got your dress from is ask the seamtress if she could make you a shawl or a little jacket so that you can wear the day of the wedding. Though make she it is of the same material of your dress so that you match. At least that is what I had done with my wedding dress for April

I have a strapless dress ,and although slim was worried about my arms. I am not wearing a veil so I have a organza scarf which hangs lose at the back ,it takes attention from my arms and looks elegant...good luck.
