No. You'll just be missing some of the features. gpedit.msc is one of them. Furthermore you mention "computers (plural); remember it's one license per computer.

Not as long as it's a legal license. But home edition lacks a lot of features that are helpful in a business environment, especially when it comes to computer management. I wouldn't recommend it. The features in XP Pro are worth it, unless you're talking about a small, home-based business.
