Like is when u say to someone: "Oh, I love ur blue eyes, that blonde hair of urs and those muscular arms." Love is when u look into someones eyes and feel happy. When u r in someones arms and u know everythin is perfect. When u hear the words I love and nothing can be better. Like is materialistic and love bliss.

You will know it when you feel it.
Like precedes love. I would characterize "like" as excitement over a person, perhaps through blushing or your nerves rushing through you, just like a deeper interest than a friendship. I feel that "like" and "crush" are synonymous in this way.
Love is unlike anything else. You can love someone so much, that it makes you cry at the beauty of it. Your heart pangs, it becomes heavy, and all of a sudden you feel like you've found your other half. When you're together, you feel truly united, on many different levels. You understand each other, and fully trust each other. At times, muttering the phrase "I love you" isn't enough to describe what you're feeling. Sometimes, I feel like a stronger, even more intense word than "love" needs to be created in order for the feelings inside of me. Love can change a person, like never will.
But often, people confuse love with lust. Maybe that's a better question. Do people really understand love? Is there one standard definition?
In the entries of dictionary.com, here is the primary:
1. a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
Yet here is a contrasting definition, which argues for love and lust to be closely related.
3. sexual passion or desire.
Personally, I find that third definition to be the exact definition of "lust" (1. intense sexual desire or appetite.), and many people argue the immense differences between those two.
So, I guess it's up to you and your own feelings to decide the differences. But this is what I have gathered in my own experiences.

Like is something that is subject to change. For example I like coca cola, however, I am not willing to fight for it.
Like is that initial hype you get when you meet a new girl, and want to see her every day, and keep thinking about her.
Love is more persistant than like. It is when you like something so much you will fight for it. Then, even when you are going through hard times, you will still hold the object, believe, or person you love close to you without letting it go. For example, I love my happiness. That is something I am willing to fight for, above all other things.
In a relationship, love is the respect you show to that person, even when things get boring. It is the occasional phone call, or taking them to a movie. Cancelling plans with your friend to help out your significant other. Taking a hit from her, so that she'll feel better. A kiss before you leave to let her know you care. Doing the dishes for him/her when it isnt your turn. Not cheating. The effort you put in to make them happy, even if it may cause you a little discomfort. etc...

Like is usually more associated with the person's physical appearance. It is pretty basic and may or may not be serious. Love is a much deeper feeling that is more mental and psychological than purely physical attraction. When you love someone you would do anything for them and appreciate everything about them, including their weaknesses.

To like a person is to see them once twice maybe three times a week and be happy with it. To love a person you feel a need to see them everyday, Might not be able to then it becomes missing them.Like you can live without ,Love you cannot.

Like in an honest assumption of feelings. You like someone and will care for them. There is the possibility for more with like. Like can lead to lust.
Love is misunderstood. Love can be lust to those who don't know the different.
Love can be real and in fact the best thing you can find in life. The possibilities of finding it for real is questionable. Love can be for time. You may love and wish to love for life but over time something happens in the relationship where you fall out of love.
Like may lead to love or lust. But like is honest. Love is misunderstood over used and hurts. Like can never hurt when like turns to false love it will hurt but then that is love.

WELL Like is kinda feeling when u meet A thing or someone for a short time ... and you just have lil feelings about it or her/him.
Love is the same thing just turn short too long and lil to deep.

love is a special feeling that you have for someone when he goes away is like having half of your heart goes with him
like is a feeling that is somewhat the same as love but even if he goes that doesn't matter because you can live without him

With Like.. you can end the relationship and not suffer much. With love, the very IDEA of ending the relationship is painful.
