Maybe you need to get it trimmed more, you have to be doing something differently for it to change that much in a year. I know as you grow older your hair starts growing differently... but it's a gradual process. You may want to change shampoo/conditioner to something more gentle.

You need moisturizer and protein treatments. Alternate between the two until your hair gets better. Hair is dead as soon as it grows out of the follicle. You have to just try to keep it in the best condition as possible. Blow drying, straightening, & chemicals damage your hair daily. You may also have a vitamin deficiency. Maybe more E & essential oils. If you have dry skin, your hair will be dry too because your hair is made from the same keratin (protein).

A good moisterizer is by Halo & a good repairing treatment is by Joico and another is by Paul Mitchell called strength. My hair was badly damaged by chemicals and I traded off using these products every other day until my hair was soft and strong again. Don't over do the protein because it can make you hair brittle.
Good luck.

Sometimes years of abuse curling irons, blowdryers(used daily) can wreak havoc and eventually leads to frizzy hair due to damage and split ends. High humidity in the summer can also lead to frizzy hair. The best advice that I can give you is cut off the split ends. The ends can split up the hairshaft eventually. There are no hair products to get rid of split ends. They just temporarily hold the split ends together. I know you probably don't want to give up any length. Condition your hair(go to an hairstylist to find out your hair type to prevent overconditioning).Use a protein conditioner for to strengthen to hair, followed by a moisturizing conditioner to prevent breakage. Don't never use a protein conditioner by itself. Find other ways to style your hair (like roller sets).Doing this will give you the hair you want.

Do you blow-dry you hair? Because if you do, then it causes split-ends. I don't really know what the cure is for these things, but you might want to tell someone close to you.

Use Frizzeze Hair stuff. It should make your hair less frizzy.
