after exercise your body needs protein and carbs for recovery. i prefer to eat things that are easily digestible like a protein shake, fish or eggs. meat and poultry has a much longer digestion time which means amino acids from those foods take longer to reach the bloodstream and then to the muscles

Eat some fruit or veggies, or grab some water.

Some lowfat yogurt or a gronola bar wouldn't be bad either.

i always get some protein after workouts for muscle recovery - protein shake, nuts, protein bar etc.
