A single glass of red wine once per week is not going to damage your chances at weight loss at all. A glass of red wine generally has the caloric value of a regular (non-diet) soda, if not fewer calories. If you are doing an hour of cardio per day, I just can't imagine that (roughly) 100 calories or so once a week is going to make or break your efforts to lose weight.
The web site below lists the caloric value for a single glass of various types of red wine.

it's already been proven that a glass of redwine a day with dinner is good for your heart, look at the French and all the fats they eat. i really wouldn't worry about gaining weight if you had a glass or two of wine a week. You aren't even talking about that many calories. you can have a little wine on most sensible diets. however, 1 hour of Cardio a day is not really good for you, either to lose weight, or for your body. you should give yourself a break inbetween, do a day or two of excercise and then one day off. your body gets accustomed to the excercise routine that you do, i'm not saying that you do the same thing every day, but it gets accustomed to being excercised every day and it reaches a plateau. it's better to give it a break and then go back to excercising. Excercise alone won't help you lose weight, watch what you eat, but don't worry about that one glass of wine.

If you do an hour of exercise a day and eat well through out the week, like no junk food everyday etc then one glass of red wine will make absolutely no difference what so ever.
Ihave lost over 20 kilos in a little over 2 motnhs and have kept it off for over 2 years now and i excercise daily by walking eating good foods (not starving myself) and enjoying a few glasses of red on the weekend and i have not put on any weight at all
You will be fine :)

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

It will depending on how many glasses of wine you drink. Also which types on wine you are drinking.
But saying that, just keep monitoring yourself. If you find you are still gaining weight, stop the red wine. If not, continue drinking. You need to keep yourself happy.

In any diet program, something "out of the plan" will affect results. However, one glass a week will not do much at all. Most diets leave room for "treating." I use Weight Watchers, and even that (as strict as it can be) allows what they call "flex points" each week for those special times like birthdays, holidays, and even losening up once a week. Good luck!

i don't think so, because red wine has anti-oxidants. I think it would even help your body burn fat. I have read it somewhere. as long as you don't drink the whole bottle! =) peace!
