Painting, poems, sculptures, symphonies, literature... it's clear that the sunset and random flight of the butterfly are proof of gods existence. It is through these beautiful creations that he speaks the universal language of metaphore, understood by all who those who create in his honor.
Meanwhile, all he leaves for scientists are conundrums... fossils and DNA that contradict his written words, laws of physics that don't jive with observed reality, phenomenon like earthquakes and hurricanes that depict a chaotic, rather than designed planet, and, as the ultimate test of faith, no hard evidence of his existence, which lets face it, is starting to feel a little... insulting.... after a two millennia of waiting?
The canned response is, "god reveals himself to those who wish to see him." Well, doesn't that sound just a bit like an overgrown child who hasn't been given his cookie for dessert?

Oh, that's because there is no God. The "evidence" of poets is not evidence of God, but a matter of psychology.

How do DNA & fossils contradict the bible? Anyhoo, there has never been and there never will be scientific evidence of God. Why? Because that would be proof and then that wouldn't be faith. Faith is based on something you can't see, hence the word faith. It would be super easy to believe in God or the bible tales if you could go visit The Garden Of Eden or if Noah's ark was found and turned into a gaudy theme park. Everyone would pretty much believe then, right? Probably not but that's not the point.
If you want to get techincal, God did provide proof. His name was Jesus. See what happened to Him? He was walking around performing miracles and that still wasn't good enough for people who saw these things and people still deny Him to this day. It doesn't matter if there's proof or not. There will still be naysayers. Sometimes proof just isn't good enough and people will still complain.
Why should God have to prove Himself to you anyway? Does He ask you for much? Nah...not really. He gave you free will so it's always your choice to believe or not. People who say He spoke to them through art or poetry might just be more open to hearing Him or seeing Him. Who knows? The dude has never personally spoke to me or anything but I think He's there. He doesn't have to grant my wishes like a genie or perform parlor tricks to get props from me. Then again, I'm not that demanding or cynical and I leave well enough alone. That's just me though. I'm oddly balanced that way.

Can a planet without earthquakes support life? Are storm systems truly chaotic? Laws of physics that don't jive with observed reality do jive with scripture. As for evidence for the paleontologist.... do you want evidence of God? will evidence of massive flooding do? Are you really "insulted" by the perfect beauty of DNA strands? Are you so jaded by the world around you that you expect more?

The earth is chaotic in that it has hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. Sometimes these things have a positive effect. They change currents, redistribute sediment. It is our role as human to subdue and stop the chaos or at least minimize the damage that they do.
It does seem that science doesn't do hand in hand but it really does. We can see that antibodies were developed to combat disease. We have made great progress in some fields of science. Just because the earth sciences are lacking in knowledge doesn't mean that God doesn't exist.

perhaps you should open your eyes a little wider and see WHO created the fossils, DNA (and there is NO contradiction in the Word - only your understanding). "observed reality" and "laws of physics" --- what you observe is the handiwork of God and the "laws of physics" are only ONE aspect of "reality." A planet tearing itself apart when God clearly explained why in His Word. The WHOLE CREATION groans until the redemption of the purchased possession (but you will not understand that since you evidently are not one of the redeemed ones). "hard evidence" - hon, God gave us plenty of "hard evidence" you just choose to ignore it. The heavens declare the glory of God.....etc. But don't worry, our time really is short and I have a good hunch that you will see Him much sooner than you will be ready for ---- then when you see Him face to face (your Creator and the One who paid for your sins that you've rejected) you can tell Him how "insulted" you are.

you are assuming that this life is all there is. You are ready for resess before going to school. Terrible things happen to good people, good people can do terrible things. The earth is its own entity. Its only one part of the whole, the whole of us, the universe, life, past, present, future, here, hereafter. If there were no differences there would be nothing to learn, nothing to do, nothing to say. What if we love indifference, life stays now, what if we love differences, life moves forward.God is omnipresent and cant be explained as well as felt. DNA is God. We are God in his image. Fossils are proof of God. Can you see the past? Hard evidence? Look at yourself man.

It takes a special kind of vision to be an artist. You have to see into God's heart. And like God, color outside the lines, just a bit. Physical evidence is cold, and does not require "vision" and the ability to call things that are not as though they are

because all the evidence lian out for all to see ruins the sanctity of the faith. also, then you cant interpret it your own way.
and god is an artist, that is why life is so short and chaotic, yet stunningly beautiful

Because one works from the expression of the Heart, while the other intellectually expresses.
The Heart expresses love, our loved ones can feel it, but the Intellect cannot quantify it.
