Hi i am again asking this cause no one seems to have a solution so far. My XP cannot boot up ! Can some1 credible pls help!?! F8 in safe mode etc doesn't work, reinstalling OS onto existing OS doesn't work , installing a new OS on a new partition doesn't work ,Repair doesn't work, recovery console (Command prompt) cannot be accessed due to a fake administrator id created by the virus.It prompts for a passwrd to access the console. There can't be an administrator id cause I am the administrator!!! and i know my passwrd!! what is happening....can some1 pls help?!?! I understand that there could be a paging file problem? Does anyone know about this....?

Try a boot from disk or a password crack
Thier free download also to boot from CD so you can have access the harddrive and scan for virus.

You have to take it one step at a time.
First crack the password
Then find the virus.

You could take the hard drive out. Hook it up to another computer so you can get the files that you need off. Then you could put it back into the original computer. Reformat the drive, then try installing the OS.

Another thing you could try .... reinstall XP to directory called "Windows2" or something to that effect, then you can boot to that, copy files to your CDR and format and reload everything

If pwd is on bios (if you cant see bios setup) then remove the rechargable battery(3V lithium cell)on motherboard for 5 minutes and again place it.

If there is a problem with OS then use DOS to format it. DOS is avaliable with bootable win98 CD.

I've had the same problem in the past,but i can't remember the solution. I went to geeks to go.com and they helped me solve the problem 100%. Check them out.
