well US citizenship these days is very very hard. my fiance and i have discovered this since he is italian. First off dont look for an american to marry, its just as hard to get a fiance visa or a spouse visa. second a lawyer specialized in this will only take your money and will not speed the process. The best way to go about it would be to do it yourself. The US has seriously put the brakes on immigration with the patriot act and others such as it. The only legal ways to become a resident are; marrage, a family member,an investment of $1,000,000.00, or a job. If you can find a job that will sponser you thats great, but not likely, its expensive and long for the company. a fiance if you already have one is great, but i dont recommend going and finding one for this specifically, it takes time and effort by the US citizen and unless she is really dedicated it wont work. Family is probably the best option for you if you have immediate family. The is one other way, the registry. But to qualify you must have been a resident since before 1972. If you have one million dollars that would be the fastest. To check you eligability for these go to www.uscis.gov. im sorry, i know it seems impossible, and in some cases it is, it is really sad to see our country go this far down. i hope it gets better and i hope i helped a little. also for any details dont call the 1800 number on the website its just a recording. calling the closest airport and talking with an immigration officer might help or the consulate of the country of your citizenship.

No, do the work. That alone will honor all the ones who came before you. We may like the easy route but NOT when it comes to citizenship.
