resistance training does not stunt the growth and there has never been any medical evidence to support this claim. it is purely based on observation that many body builders appeared to be short so it "must" have been weight training...it's utter nonsense

there isn't even any medical evidence that supports that the use of anabolic or androgenic steroids stunts the growth, but that is another topic of debate...

It won't stunt your enhance...till your lifting too plenty with improper technique. in case you're 6-3 at 14, i does no longer problem approximately stunting your enhance. rather you may desire to no longer be weight coaching till 8th grade or the summer season in the previous intense college because of the fact bodily teenagers are not developed adequate to get any variety of real income from it. as quickly as your in intense college decide for it. do exactly no longer do too plenty. Alot of persons think of the greater time I spend interior the well being midsection the bigger i'm going to get...it rather is basically no longer real. in case you over-artwork your self you constantly tear the muscle and on no account supply it of undertaking to regrow better. generally you decide on for to artwork in a manner that works each and all the muscle groups for a definite team, supply it an afternoon of relax; mutually as working different muscle groups day after as we talk. generally Biceps and back on sooner or later, Chest and tricepts on day after as we talk, and Legs/Shoulders day after as we talk....there is multiple groupings and advice on the thank you to do it. Its good to alter between intense weight and occasional reps, and occasional weight and intense reps besides. you may desire to artwork out rapid intense and stressful; yet rather you do no longer could desire to velocity to any extent further than an hour to an hour-and-a million/2 weight coaching interior the well being midsection an afternoon. Anymore is exceedingly plenty overkill and does greater injury than good.

In some cases weightlifting can effect growth if you start at a young age, if you started when you were younger it may have possibly effected you but you should be fine and it may have nothing to do with the weights it just could be caused by the genes in your family, but 2 more years of growing should bring you to where your height needs to be

no it's not weight lifting... it's steroids...

I think coffee and cigarettes too, but anyway...

Maybe you should do some exercises to lengthen your muscles. You know, like girls do.
