For one thing, people who can drink normally never ask themselves "Do I have a problem with booze?"
The clincher for me....
If I controlled my drinking, I didn't enjoy it
if I enjoyed it, I was out of controll

Is the impulse of drinking alcohol in certain situations. There are different levels of alcoholism. For example there are the ones who don't drink during the week, but as soon the Fridays arrive he/she can't stop to go alone or with a the friends to have that beer or drink. There are the ones who drink every day and there are the ones who are used to drink 1 beer every Saturday. Is the impulse that you can't stop the one that makes you alcoholic. To be alcoholic you don;t need to get drunk every time you drink all you need is the obedience to that impulse of drinking alcohol.

When you ask. If you can't come to terms with yourself to know you’re an alcoholic then you are an alcoholic. When you wake in the morning and don't know what you did last night your an alcoholic. When you wake in the morning and have a drink to cool off the hangover your and alcoholic. I could go on forever but you get the jest. Try AA ????????????????

You have to have a drink everyday. More than one drink- if you drink two - that is excessive and you are an alcoholic. And if you are in denial, you are an alcoholic! And if all you think about is alcohol, you are an alcoholic! Hope I answered your question!
