Yes, jews buy german cars. Seeing as how hitler (the anti-semite you are referring to) was actually an austrian born (yes, he was born in austria, not germany) child of partial jewish descent.

Do you buy mitsubishi? They built the planes that bombed pearl harbor.

volkswagens are no more a "nazi" car than any other brand. Chrysler is a german company now.

The foundation of VW and porsche might have been closely tied with the RULING PARTY of the government of the country from which they came, just as in the USA... companies such as GM are closely tied with OUR government.

But the VW of today is not the VW of the 40s

What's the point of the question ? Some Jews would have reservations about buying anything German, yes, or from a company that was anti-semitic, yes.

Do you buy anything made in the Southern states ? I don't mean to be ignorant.

I think some actually own German cars but I heard that Mazda is popular in Israel. Maybe Hyundai too, but I'm not sure.

*sigh*
im half jewish and i drive a volkswagen Jetta. I bought it because I got a really great deal on the lease and its a reliable car.
NOT because of any of VW's prior history. Know what? Sadaam Hussein used to listen to Frank Sinatra. Does that mean Italian people shouldnt listem to him anymore?

It's kind of silly, since every time we fill our cars with petrol we help finance anti-semitic murderers.

Plus, you'll notice that the taxis in Israel are almost all Mercedes.

I had this conversation once with a friend of a friend once. I made the error of driving to this specific meeting with my partners BMW, and she sort of was interested in it, but was afraid to admit it.

After some nice chatting, I said "Well I know what your husband makes, why don't you get one and ditch those boring Lexus' you usually buy". She said, "Well I'm jewish". So I said, "Hmm your point is?". She responded, "Well, we can't buy German, remember the Haulocaust?". So innocently at first I didn't get it, but she snapped at me and said "My family has not forgotten and we'll never get over it, but I will not have anything to do with that country". Just in a very rude tone.

So I said, "Hmm, sweetie...You know your husbands Explorer with the 4.0L V6? Well, the engine is German, made in Cologne Germany, the transmission, is french". She was livid after that fact. She actually called her son to make him go thru the owners manual and in fact, the information was on there.

Well can you believe she ditched the Explorer within a week? Ironically I happen to see her a month after that fact. And I told her "Hmm sweetie...let me tell you which parts of your Lexus are made in Germany". She walked away from me...opps :)

Then I do have this sort of relative, that she visits her Grandmother at "the home" in her husbands Maxima. Because grandma was in a concentration camp, and couldn't be told or see that her grand-daughter owned a VW. So the family is sort of hiding that fact.

I do have a close friend of mine which she herself being jewish, and her whole family was murdered in the concentration camps, bought a VW because as she stated "I'm over it". But friends and peer pressure and redicule she gave in and bought a Ford Fusion recently, so she wouldn't hear from it again. And that seems to be going well.

So these are 2 totally different senarios I'm sharing, hope this helps.

You're such a dweeb. Do African-Americans that are descended from slaves buy cars that were build in America? Do Japanese-Americans who were interned in camps during WWII buy American cars? Do descendants of native Americans who were killed or stripped of their rights and put on reservations buy American cars? Yes.

I don't think that Jewish people think about that too much. Ford is long dead and the Germans are helping Israel. So Jews buy whatever they like.
