i just spent $2000 to get my driveway fixed, and now people are backing into it to turn around and parking in it. how can i fix this without the police?

You can put up signs but half the time people don't even pay any attention to them or they just don't care. Put up a gate, is about your only way.

I fully appreciate your dilema. People use my driveway all time to turn around, or even park and have a conversation on their cell phones, like my property is an open parking lot. It's wide enough to park three cars side by side, so an inviting place I guess. The only thing people haven't done in my driveway is park and make out (yet). Very annoying, especially when I'm home and right there on the porch for all violators to view. The bastards just don't care.
You're either going to have to make an investment in a gate, which I am contemplating myself doing, or devise a boobie trap to discourage them, maybe with them tire stakes, like the cops use to stop a high speed chase. You'll have to plan a way you don't get boobied by your trap though. Whatever you do, Good Luck. And power to you.

Put a sign up no parking violators will be towed. If you dont want to put a sign there and if it is the same people parking in your driveway all the time give them a verbal warning. If that doesnt cure all have their vehicle towed. Sooner or later they will get the message.

I agree with the signage thing - its a definite first step.
the turn-around thing I doubt you'll be able to avoid. i happen to live on a narrow dead-end street and everyone uses at least the apron of someone's driveway to turn around.
As for parking in your driveway - call the cops and have them towed.

When you're not using the driveway, lay down a portable spike strip. Just make sure it's on your property.

put a carpenters "horse" at the end of the driveway when you leave with an orange flag or rag on it.
