You should be able to get it altered but you may have to find a seamstress who can do it. Check with your local bridal store, they always have names and numbers of seamstresses.

Yes, it can be altered. Some shops will make minor alterations for free. If you loose a lot of weight and the dress needs to be taken in a lot they will more than likely charge you. Depending on the skill of the seemstress the results can either look really good or really bad.
A dress that is free from beading, sequins, mulitiple seams or any other intricate detail would be the best choice if you are planning on having to alter a dress.

You can have the dress altered, which the shop may or may not do.
Even if the shop does alterations you should check around for a seamstress or tailor who *specializes* in alterations (don't just take it to the dry cleaner's around the corner, they may be able to hem pants, but not be able to alter a dress). They may cost less then the in-house seamstress/tailor.
Keep in mind that even if you have the dress altered at the shop you purchased it at, you will have to pay for the alterations. I've never been to a shop that doesn't charge to do them.

You're going to have to pay a lot more to have your dresses altered once the dresses were fitted and made and that depends on how much time you have before the wedding to have it done.

Most dresses can be altered down about two sizes without changing the appearance of the dress. It depends on the shape and design of the dress though.

Yes you can have it altered. however to ensure that the dress is going to fit properly you want to wait until a little more than a week before the wedding to have it altered as you want to make sure your weight is going to be similar to the size the dress is altered to.

i'm additionally ordering from Alfred Angelo and characteristic been informed the comparable ingredient. the cloth is dyed with distinctive dye plenty, so in the event that they are no longer ordered interior the comparable batch, they may well be shrink on distinctive dye lotted cloth products. consequently, nonetheless the colour would be comparable in nature, the transformations in colours might or won't be major. the huge based isn't any rely if or no longer you care. maximum in all danger, seeing as Alfred Angelo is a great organisation, the transformations are not great adequate which you will see in photos, so if it is not substantial to you that one bridesmaid is extremely lighter than yet another, than do no longer hardship with reference to the difficulty of having the girls folk collectively to order from the comparable keep. while you're demanding, then in line with danger have them degree themselves, and take the measurements to a minimum of one bridal keep. solid success!

Yes you can lose weight after sending for your dress. It's alot easier to make it smaller than bigger. Most all bridal shops alter your dresses. The bridal shop my daughter chose even had free alterations which was a big plus. Best of luck to you and hope you lose the weight you want to.

Every bridesmaid dress I have ever bought had to be altered. They never fit correctly at first. There will be no problem taking in a gown. You will have to find a reputable seamstress.

LMAO...when I was a Bridesmaid...We ordered the dress super tight. By the time of the Wedding I was falling out of the dress. I suffered through it because I hadn't realized how much weight I had lost in a month. I'm sure the store is still obligated to do fittings...if all else fails...~*Double sided sticky tape rox*~

A good seamstress can do almost anything. I went from a 10 to a 4 for one wedding I was in, and they took it in no problem.
