I'd choose the city. I love nature, but I don't want to live with coyottes, poison ivy, field mice and snakes regardless of the romantic notions that country living evokes.

well depends do you have a big family? do ou need a lot of space? then as far as to say the newer house will be worth more that's not always true for example i live in a historical city and if the homes are over 100 years old (which these homes are huge and beautiful) if they are in good cond. they are worth way more than a brand new home. and people think that newer homes are better than older home well that can be true but not all the time, do some deep research in both homes like who bought them and in the newer home look and see if there's "flake board" its a cheap board they use instead of real wood and when it gets wet it swells up, very cheap and used in alot of newer homes so just because its new doesn't make it better but if the older home is in great shape i would chose the older home i like the creativity in older homes they can be beautiful I LOVE hardwood floors too!

The smaller one for sure. The views are a bonus. Who needs a 4200 sq ft house anyway?

What's the acreage? I'd probably pick the country home, because I'm SOOO tired of living in town with all the neighbors breathing down my neck and bad drivers and barking dogs and kids jumping my fence....oh! Did I go on? Acreage would be important though, because what's the point of 4200 sq ft if you can't even walk out the backdoor without hitting the fence?

I'd go with the views! Besides, the bigger the house - the more cleaning you'll need to do. Unless of course you enjoy cleaning....? I don't really enjoy cleaning the 2100 sq.ft. home I have already. We need more space here with the little ones but certainly not 4200 sq. ft. of it....hehehe.

I will choose the smaller house in the mountains. You do not need such a big house. 2700 square foot is plenty of room, and being close to nature is good for your mind and your health in general

I'd take the older home. Better construction and more character, ample room, unbelievable view.

depends on what the houses look like and how much space there is etc... I prefer to be close to the city.
