Were there people who claimed to be descendants of prophet Mohammad? I'm just curious because he was married several times but nothing has been mentioned about him having offsprings? Or have they? Were they proven to be the real family?

The Prophet Mohammad(Peace Be Upon Him) did have offspring, however, the male children died at a young age. I would give more details but I can't recall them exactly and so I don't want to mislead you. Sorry. Try this website: http://www.pbs.org/muhammad/virtualhajj.shtml
or http://www.islamicity.com/

I hope it will help you find the answer to your question.

Why I am giving up on Islam? Because I have received admissions from muslims here that...

even if almost all the terrorists are muslims (which is true),
even if muhammad did have sex with a 9 year old girl (also true),
even if muhammad had lied for Satan to protect his arrse (also true)
even if the q'uran clearly teaches terrorist dogma especially against Jews and Christians (absolute truth).

MUSLIMS...will still tell you that islam is peaceful. And they will not hesitate to kill you to prove it

Get the point?

Islam brainwashes people until they become total retards. Those who are in islam are pure morons. Its a fact, and I'm not afraid to say it even though muslims deny this and cannot see this for themselves.

This is why it is impossible to reach out to muslims using logic and sanity.

Most will not even touch the following link. Why? Well, a fear of facing the truth

Muhammad had 5 children who all died before being adults.

He had 3 girls, Fatima, Umm kalsoom, and Ruqayah.

His oldest daughter, Fatima, was the most known because she was Muhammads beloved one. She was the only child who actually had children.

His other two daughters died in young ages.

For the boys, he had two. Al- Qasim, and Abraham who both died at very young ages.

No one claimed to be Muhammad's son because every knew who Muhammad was and what his life was like.

His two grandchildren were very well know, and they lived to a reasonable age.

Hope that helps.

Peace.

good question. there is wisdom behind why God didn't want to leave too many offsprings after Muhammad. the only offsprings remaind after prophet muhammad was his daughter called "Fatima" who married her Cusin "Ali". the rest of his kids died in different age. as a result of this offspring, it supported division of muslims to happen (Sunni and Shia).... however before the return of Jesus, there is a person who will come from the roots of prophet Muhammad called "Al-Mahdi", he will unite the muslims.

Yes there are people who are descendants of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, he has daughters, but not any sons.

Descendants of Muhammad are known as sharifs شريف (plural: ِأشراف Ashraaf) or sayyid. Many rulers and notables in Muslim countries, past and present have professed such descent, with various degrees of credibility, such as the Fatimid dynasty of North Africa, the Idrisids, the current royal families of Jordan. In various Muslim countries, there are societies of varying credibility that authenticate claims of descent

I am told I am sayyid, this allows me to have better able to handle hot objects supposedly...

Peace Be With You

The descendants of Muhammad came through his daughters, his daughters did bear grandchildren for him.

Just so you know, people who are Muhammad's descendant have a title in their name,

for boys it's "Said" or "Syed" or something along that line,

for girls it's "Sharifah".

Like my ex-gf.

TT~TT

Anyways if a Syed is married and had children, he can name his children Syed or Sharifah, although he cannot do the same with an adopted child.

But if a Sharifah is married and had children, she cannot name her children Syed or Sharifah.

The Prophet (PBUH) had 5 children total. One of them died at a young age. And they were real family, seeing as how he helped to "create" them.

Children of Prophet Muhammad
Prophet Muhammad had five children from his first wife Khadijah. One son, Al qasim died when he was still a baby, and four daughters: Zaynab, Ruqayah, Fatimah, and Om Kolthoom. The last child, a boy Abrahim was born 628 A.D. He was the only child born to the Prophet after Prophet Muhammad knew that he was to be a Messenger of God. His mother was Maria, an Egyptian whom the king of Egypt sent to Prophet Muhammad as a handmaid servant and Prophet Muhammad married her in 627.

Zaynab married her cousin Al'*** Ibn Al-Rabeah. Zaynab had only one child who died as a baby. Zaynab died in 630 A.D.

Ruqayah was the wife of Othman Ibn affan. She had one boy who died possibly from an infection after a rooster pecked his eye. She died in 624 A.D. She died on the same day of the battle of Badr.

Om Kolthoom was also married to Othman after Ruqayah's death . She had no children. She died in 631 A.D.

Fatimah married Ali Ibn Aby Talib who was the cousin of the Prophet and who later became the fourth Calipha. He died in 662 A.D. They had two sons, Al-Hassan and Al-Hussein and one daughter Om Kolthoom. Fatimah died in 632 A.D.

Al-Hassan was seven years old, and Al-Huseein was six when Prophet Muhammad died in 632 A.D. The Prophet loved them very much. There were even some prophecies about them. Al-Hassan became Calipha in 662 A.D. He resigned after five months and passed his leadership to Mouawiah Ibn Aby Sofian. Prophet Muhammad Prophesied that a man named Muhammad Ibn Abdullah (Al-Mahdi), a descendant of Al Hassan, would one day work with the Prophet Jesus to kill the Anti-Christ and establish an Islamic state. Al-Hussein died in 682 A.D.

Most of Al-Hussein's children were killed in the wars. Only two children survived after Al-Hussein's death. The daughter of Fatimah, Om Kolthoom married Omar Ibn Al Khataab, the second Calipha. She had a boy named Zayd. Zayd fought along with his uncle Al-Hussein, in the battle of Karbellah. The descendants of Al-Hussein and Zayd still exist today. Fatimah died a few months after the death of Prophet Muhammad . The Prophet prophesied that Fatimah would be the first of his family to die after him, and it would be soon.
