can you get sick from re-using a store bought water bottle? How often can you use it before throwing it away?

I've been re-using a few 2 liter pop bottles for a couple years now. I fill them with filtered water from home and take them to work. (The water at work is nasty.) I use a drop of dish soap and rinse them out every couple refills.
