I'm curious about the total benefit to the world if smoking didn't exist.

I'm a smoker and think that your question is interesting. Cigarretts were the worst idea anyone ever had. To a non-smoker, all you need is air: To a smoker all you need is air, and that "rush". I wish I didn't need that feeling. I can't imagine the money that would be free'd up to do or buy other things. Good question!!! I think Englishcad probably had your best answer so far due to his research.

but if we didnt smoke, and we stopped drinking alcohol...well if the country didnt explode it would go bankrupt overnight and thousands of people would lose thier livelihood...

and then we'd stop buying petrol... as a protest at the outrageous stealth taxes... as we move away from tobacco and alcohol taxes..gordon has to fill the coffers from another wellspring... the motorist...

We at Cad industries have spent years,and hundreds of thousands of pounds on this question and have worked out to the penny what this figure is.The actual amount ....Wait for it..........................is.................... £11.68p I hope this has been of help.
