I have been Muslim all my life but I did not have the faith and appreciation for the religion that i have now until I was 25 and my brother was murdered, and my father passed away from sickness. My father was always my go to person whenever I wanted to know something so after he passed I realized it was just up to me now. My brother's death put me in touch with my own mortality and I realized I wanted to meet Allah in a strong faithful position so I had to strengthen my Dean. I see Allah's work, mercy, bounty, and love in my life everyday and during the Ramadan that just passed, just about everything i prayed for during The Night of Power has come to fruition. I don;'t know where I would be if not for the rope and salvation of Islam!

Yes, sometimes all it take is one little experience that changes the way you see things and is enough for anyone to make a U-turn in their lives. Maybe you have experienced something similar? I became more closer to Islam after reading and understanding Quran.

May the peace blessing and mercy of God be upon you

Yes in my senior year of highschool I got back on to the straight path, and mashallah it has been amazing since then. The best feeling is praying and knowing that God is watching you.

Study the religion from its proper sources and you shall never fear or grieve.

[017:097] And he whom God guides, he is led aright; but he whom He sends astray, for such you will find no Auliyâ' (helpers and protectors) besides Him, and We shall gather them together on the Day of Resurrection on their faces, blind, dumb and deaf; their abode will be Hell; whenever it abates, We shall increase for them the fierceness of the Fire.

[017:098] That is their recompense, because they denied Our Ayât (proofs, verses, evidences, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and said: "When we are bones and fragments, shall we really be raised up as a new creation?"

[017:099] See they not that God, Who created the heavens and the earth, is Able to create the like of them. And He has decreed for them an appointed term, whereof there is no doubt. But the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers) refuse (the truth – the message of Islâmic Monotheism, and accept nothing) but disbelief.

Peace be with you

yes, when i read ur question it's like me who is talking. i swear it's a miracle, it's something that is really strange, but nothing strange from the power of God.

before turning to God (moving from muslim to Mo'min (believer)) , i used to read the Quran in pages but my mind couldn't understand everything i read, my mind always think of something else, however after believing and turning to God, things become clear and clear to the point that my mind thinking of this miracle change. it's truly the best and wonderful exprience i have ever had.

I actually attacked Islam and was against all of it's teachings (almost all of them).

It took me a lot of research, a lot of lessons, and a lot of privite conversations (debates, actually), to finally find out the truth and converte.

One of the greatest lessons I learned... "everything happens for a reason".

Peace.
