I remember some of the older versions of windows media player had a simple option on something like the 'play' drop down bar or something like that and it allowed you to play only the left or right audio track of a video file.

This is mainly for some older VCDs that had different languages coming from the left and right speakers. So if you didn't turn one off you'd hear both languages simultaneously.

Well there's options like unplug the speaker on one side or set it in wmp so only one speaker has sound but there used to be an option that basically plays the same thing in both speakers.

So, how do you do it, or what version of wmp was this and how can you get it?

Yea, I read the first answer and what I mean is by doing that, sound will only be coming out of one speaker.

An older version of wmp used to let you switch to use the sound of audio from either left or right speaker but it would come out from both speakers.

Dunno why but it seems like this kind of option has disappeared.

Just open the volume control applet (double-click the little speaker next to the clock on bottom right of the Windows taskbar) & move the "balance" control under "Master Volume" all the way to the right.

Do you have WMP 11? Oh well I think it is basically the same with all of them. Go to Now playing click view at the top, then enhancements, then Graphic equalizer.

To the right of all the equalizer sliders there is a balance slider.

Hope this is what you need.

Go to Now Playing>Enhancements>Graphic Equalizer. There should be a balance slider on the right.

Maybe you have to install a plug-in for that!
I just don't remember.
