I'm an independent single mom whose been told that although I'm very attractive, I'm intimidating to men because I'm independent and intelligent. How can I put a man at ease so he won't feel intimidated by me?

Act dumb, let the guy give the advice and answers, and flatter the guy ( oh, thanks so much for fixing that, I couldn't have done it myself... :0) ) until you get to know him better. Should work like a charm. Guys like being the "protector" and serving their woman.

I don't think you need to. If a man's intimidated by you being independent and smart, then he doesn't deserve you anyway. I'm a single mom myself, and we have no choice but to be independent and have a kick *** attitude :) Nothing wrong with that.

A lot of men like independent and intelligent ladies. If they are intimidated by you, you need to heighten your standards in a man.

As for me I can say that I enjoy the intimidation factor, just ask my girlfriend. As for other guys i'd say mabye you just have to calm down a little, or look around. You'll find one that likes that and has the nuts to talk to you after a while. We're somewhat hard to find I guess, lol.

Shut up and let him talk. If a man can do all the talking they will come back for more. Plus, you will learn enough about him to decide if you really want to see him again.

I've been told that I'm intimidating too. I can't help, but I feel your pain.

I saw this on "The Love Boat" when I was a kid - talk dumb. Practice batting your eyes and less verbal gymnastics.
