INGREDIENTS
3-6 ripe strawberries
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup water
1. Puree the berries in a blender and pour into a small dish.
2. Using a cosmetic brush or your toothbrush, paint the strawberry paste on your teeth and let sit on
teeth for 5 minutes.
3. Mix 1 teaspoon of the baking soda and the cream of tartar into the cup of water. Swish this mixture
around in your mouth.
4. Brush your teeth with the teaspoon of plain baking soda.
5. Rinse with cool, clear water.
Take a lime (preferably organic) and start peeling it with a knife leaving most of the rind. Usually, a half lime is best...use the other half a few days later. Slice your half a lime into bite size bits, chew and eat. The nutritious rind along with the fruit will give you an added boost and is good for the body. Then lightly brush your teeth with baking soda. This will help neutralize the acid in your mouth. Often, if you follow with a teaspoon of olive oil or an oil rich in omega fatty acids it will help if you have sensitive teeth. This will also help to naturally control body orders and you can imagine how good it is for keeping clean your digestive system. The vitamin C type nutrients are very good towards promoting healthy gums if done on a regular basis and could probably help against bad breath or gum ailments.

Not really sure on home 'treatment', because your teeth are always visible and I wouldn't want to reccomend something that mind end up turning your teeth brown or yellow or something.
You might be able to reduce plaque and discoloration by cutting down on things like sugary drinks and snacks in between brushings.
Brushing 3 times a day might help too.
There is also a new mouthwash called 'Agent Blue', which coats the teeth's plaque in a temporary blue hue, and you could use this to help remove the plaque.

Here's an effective, non-toxic method. Spritz your toothbrush with hydrogen peroxide (regular 3% H202) , and then dip the moistened toothbrush into a bit of baking soda. Use this to brush your teeth. You'll notice a difference in a short time.
Keep smiling,

Catherine Zeta Jones uses strawberries on her teeth to make em whiter. The dentist is the best place to go. And products at wal mart are great too. I recommend them all.

You can use baking soda to brush - it is an abrasive and will help remove stains in the small crevices. You can gargle with hydrogen peroxide. These two ingredients are found in many whitening toothpastes. Happy Smiles!

My grandma used to tell us to rub strawberries on our teeth and don't rinse or drink until 30min later, I'm sure there is a scientific explanation I just can't remember.
