This sort of question comes up fairly often. Every time it does, there are a number of very emphatic responses along the lines of; It is the word of God and therefore perfect, or there are absolutely no contradictions or you just don't know how to read it.
i became curious and thought I would see for myself. I did a google search on; contradictions in the bible. And there were many sites. I pulled this of a list of about hundred that was on the first place I looked.
God CAN be seen:
"And I will take away my hand, and thou shalt see my backparts." (Ex. 33:23)
"And the Lord spake to Moses face to face, as a man speaketh to his friend." (Ex. 33:11)
"For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." (Gen. 32:30)
God CANNOT be seen:
"No man hath seen God at any time." (John 1:18)
"And he said, Thou canst not see my face; for there shall no man see me and live." (Ex. 33:20)
"Whom no man hath seen nor can see." (1 Tim. 6:16)
I will admit that some of the things on the list seemed rather nit picky and I would not include them. But there was enough stuff like the above that seems fairly contradictory to me.
Research. The guy asking the question could get answers instead of opinions and the people answering could have know have some facts before they make statements that are easily disproved.

It doesn't contradict itself. RAther it shows all sides. If you look at it politically..it shows the right wing, left wing and liberal point of view and then it is up to us to INDEPENDENTLY translate it how we may. And....it seems........it has been translated in many different ways or versions.
From my experiences in life, there is no contradiction to much of what i have read of the bible.
Please when you say bible contradicting perhaps you would explain what PART. The entire bible does not contradict itself i know this for a fact.

The Bible does not contradict itself. Prideful man may make this assertion concerning the Holy Word of God, but remember what the Bible says about pride. It goes before the fall.

the bible is not meant to contradict itself...some of the bible was wrote ny different apostles...and if you read and study the scriptures and then back it up with more scriptures then you begin to understand what was meant in the word....i have a bible that tells what each verse is referring to and it does help a lot...the main thing is that we believe in the lord and try to do his will...and obey his commandments...we should live for god and not for the world...the world is a ungodly place with many wicked and wrong things going on today in this world...

No it doesn't contradict itself. I'm studying Hermeneutics (How to interpret the Bible) and it takes studying to find out why some things look like a contradiction. The more I study, the more I'm finding out it doesn't contradict itself at all.

The Bible is a collection of writings by a lot of different people. Daniel, Ezekiel, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John. They did not all necessarily agree on everything, so sure, there may be contradictions. Everyone has their favorites. I think God wanted it that way.

The Bible does not contradict itself. Probably you have not understood properly as it is a spiritual book. Its understanding goes beyond the application of ordinary common sense.

There arn`t any contradictions on Gods part just man in his understanding. Many Books, many writers and as we all no man`s not perfect, we do make mistakes and also man interpreted what God told him.and then he wrote down or passed along what he understood.Put many preachers together and all of them good christian men and women and I guarantee that there will be differences of opinions and interpretations of what they have read and studied.Man has come a long way sense man of that area we are so much more educated and we still see things differently.
