Is very simple in luke 1:32 the angel said about Jesus " This one will be great and will be called Son of the Most high and the lord God will give him the throne of David his Father,

And the bible said in Psalms 83:18 "The people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

And in Isaiah 42:1 Look! my servant, on whom i keep fast hold! my chosen one Whom my soul has approved! i have put my spirit in him. Justice to the nations is what he will bring forth.

The same one That Jehovah told that he will send the angel of the covenant (malachi 3:1-3) the same one of John 3:16. That the reason why Jesus said my father is greater than i am. (John 14:28)

He is saying his Fathers name to be known.
Jesus' Fathers name is Jehovah. Psalm 83:18; Exodus 6:3
Isaiah 12:2; 26:4. These scriptures give God's name.
When Jesus Christ was on earth, he ‘made his Father’s name manifest’ to his disciples. (Joh 17:6, 26) Although having earlier known that name and being familiar with God’s activities as recorded in the Hebrew Scriptures, these disciples came to know Jehovah in a far better and grander way through the One who is “in the bosom position with the Father.” (Joh 1:18) Christ Jesus perfectly represented his Father, doing the works of his Father and speaking, not of his own originality, but the words of his Father. (Joh 10:37, 38; 12:50; 14:10, 11, 24) That is why Jesus could say, “He that has seen me has seen the Father also.”—Joh 14:9.

Jesus grow to be praying to the daddy. Jesus isn't the daddy he's the Son. He grow to be bearing on God the daddy whilst asserting "Hallowed by Thy call." besides the undeniable fact that Jesus' call is holy additionally. God bless, Stanbo

When we pray the Lord's Prayer, we are saying and knowing that God's name is Holy. Jesus is not saying this, but we are. We recite the Lord's Prayer, knowing that God's name is Hallowed. We are praying to God and acknowledging all the goodness , mentioned in the Lord's Prayer. We are being instructed on how to pray and what to say. It comes from our Hearts, as we pray this.

Sometimes I find it very helpful to read another translation of the Bible: I go to Biblegateway.com and click on the different translations when I want to get a deeper understanding about a certain scripture. Try this:

9 "This is how you should pray.
" 'Our Father in heaven,
may your name be honored.
10 May your kingdom come.
May what you want to happen be done
on earth as it is done in heaven.

his fathers name, Jehovah. God Jesus is his son, of the same blood. Also in the lords prayer did U know it says U can be a perfect person, lead me not to temptation, but away from the evil one. how do U get God to answer his prayer and lead your life by his spirit. That's the real question.

God is More then a Name

We often see posts here about calling God by His name, however He has many names and often there is conflict on what His name really is. However I believe God is far more concerned with some other things then a name as He is so much more then a "name"

When John F. Kennedy was president, his son John John was around 3 y/o. I am sure president Kennedy loved to hear people call him MR PRESIDENT. (People with MD degrees like to be called DOCTOR...) but I think the name President Kennedy loved to be called most is DADDY. I can imagine the president sitting in the Oval
Office with very important people... all calling him Mr President. All of these "important" people needed an appointment to see him...yet there was two people I am sure did not need an appointment..Carolyn and John John.

I can even imagine John John falling and scraping his knee and then going into the oval office and saying to the secretary outside the office I need an appointment with the president. When John John was able to get into the office itself...I am sure he went up to the desk and said MR PRESIDENT... I have hurt my.....hey wait a moment...I am sure he was able to go right into that office and say DADDY I NEED YOU...I HAVE ABOO BOO.. and the President would have had his VIP guest wait until he attended to his SON. (or daughter)

Can you not see that THIS is the relationship Almighty God wants with US? HE wants so much for us to be FAMILY.. I never called my father JOHN and I do not want my
children to call me Ken or Mr.... I want them to call me daddy....that is the name I love to hear from their lips...Jesus Himself taught us to pray "our FATHER"....to
address God on an intimate basis which the Jews were shocked by...it is based on a relationship with God. One that can only be obtained by mankind by adoption.

Romans 8 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit
itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Abba Father equals DADDY!

If you do not have this relationship with God, please check this link and find out how you can have this intimate relationship too.

God has many names:

HE IS: Jehovah-shalom, Jehovah-shammah, Jehovah-tsidenu, Jehovah-jirah, Jehovah-rapah, Jehovah-nissi and more. To learn about these other names the Watchtower knows nothing about, (a search of their website shows nothing regarding these names)

To understand why God's name should be hallowed, we first need to understand that the Jews (God's chosen people) had different naming customs than we do today. To a Jew, a person's name was more than just a way to identify them physically; their name also reflected their nature. Jews named their children in a way that expressed the child's mission in life. Because of this custom, the Jewish people had about 16 different names for God in the Hebrew Old Testament. Each name reflected a different aspect of God's character, so God's names were considered by the Jews to be just as holy as God Himself. In fact, God's names were and are so holy to the Jews, that they never write His full name for fear of bringing disrespect to it and to God

Despite a few of the incorrect answers above, there's no such Hebrew word as "Jehovah." The name of God in Hebrew is frequently transliterated with the English consonants "YHWH." Since the earlist Hebrew scrolls of the Bible did not contain consonants, in order to pronounce God's sacred name, it was suggested that the vowels a-o-a be used be used from one of God's titles, "Adonai." So, in all actuality, there's no such word as "Jehovah." Today it's better pronounced, "YAH-way" and just spelled YHWH. That's the name to which Jesus was referring in his exemplary prayer.
