Yes. What makes them energy drinks is that they contains TONS of sugar and also caffeine. That adds up to lots of empty calories, which can lead to weight gain, and caffeine isn't that great for ya either.

I am a teen and I drink energy drinks....the only thing you need to make sure of is that you are spacing your drinks and not drinking them one right after another....and that you brush your teeth. And also remembering that it can speed up your heart. Other than that I have no problem and am still an active energy drink fanatic.

I saw a TV program that said these drinks are real high in caffeine . Drinking these are like taking an overdose of coffee or tea. It is not a good idea to be drinking very much of these drinks. It is not good for your body and possibly harmful to your brain,

Well, they do if you drink too many of them. Otherwise one or two of them just gives an energy boost. Sometimes that's all teenagers need to be productive is an energy boost. So it can go either way.

I would stay away from them if I were you. If you are playing intensive sports then have a gatorade or water. Red Bull should be pulled off the shelves.

Read the label, check on the internet and judge for yourself. Alot of them drink it instead of water and that can never be good.

YES!!! YES!!!! YES!!!! those things are bad for you regardless of age!! there is sooooo much caffeine and cr@p in them that you end up feeling worse than you did before you drank the frickin thing and that causes you to want another one!! it's just a big marketing skeme to get you to buy more of it!! PLUS since teenagers are still growing, caffeine stunts your growth and causes all kinds of horrid things to happen to your brain. stay away from that junk!!
