I need ideas for activities and hobbies that I can do during my free time. My husband has agreed to watch our three girls so I can have me time. It'll probably only be like once every week or two. And it can't cost a lot.

Isn't it amazing how fathers call it babysitting when they do it, and normal living when mama stays with the kids while he goes out with the boys, etc.
It will take discipline, but try to do something that has nothing to do with family or kids. If you shop, shop for yourself. Check with the local community center for classes in something that will not produce a product for home or family. Be selfish! You will have achieved success if you can go two minutes without thinking of any of your kids.

I don't have kids, but I did have a 8 month hiatus from work when my husband was in military training. We didn't have much cash so I had to be creative ....I went around town to all of the home improvement, crafting, knitting, sewing, specialty grocery stores, etc....and found out the schedules for classes and seminars. Most of them are free and the few that charge are usually minimal. I now know how to do all sorts of neat crazy things and it's a great, productive way to spend some time!

Redpeach is right! I never realized how many little things could be fun to do without anyone at all. I love grocery shopping without anyone. I love going to get my hair cut. I like looking around at furniture stores. Craft stores normally offer many classes you can take for fun if that's your thing. I know I've taken a few that are interesting things that eventually turn into hobbies. Sometimes it's fun just to get out every once in a while! Have a great time whatever you choose!

Call a friend and go to a coffee shop and talk, do a little shopping (not groceries), go to the library and not the kids section and get a good book to read, take a walk in the park, visit a friend or relative, go to the gym, play a video game (remember free time?)

Well theres some suggestions.

Plan a girls night once a month at least with some friends. We usually do dinner (or lunch) and then a movie or shopping (I usually watch while they shop, lol).
For just you, maybe head to a bookstore with peace and quiet and grab a book. The possiblities are endless when you think about it. Have fun!!

Scrap booking, going to the gym , join a book club, go out to dinner with friends, go shopping for ME stuff , go enjoy a nice cup of coffee in a relaxing environment. Just think of things you did and enjoyed before the girls and try to do some of those things that you miss.

I would have a party!!! Go over to one of girlfriends' homes and do it up, have some cocktails. Unwind that is what I would do if I were you, for having the chance to go out. Shoot, you deserve it. If you don't drink, go to a cheap restaurant (with your best girlfriends, mom, or sis) have some food, go take a long walk, window shop and make sure it is sunny out. go to a bookstore curl-up and read a book. or do something that really interests you each week (something that's not going to tie you down, like take belly-dancing classes or something).

Why not just catch up with some friends, go out for a coffee together, or I like to get out and go for a nice long walk. Clears the head, relaxes, and builds up the happy endorphins and energy levels. You will come back refreshed, and ready to get back into it again. Better still - its free!

I go to pottery classes near my house. Other moms in my town take tennis lesson, go to the library programs, take classes at the local college. I also play board games once a week with abunch of my kids friends moms.

Eric L has the right idea, a little you time is important so don't sqander it. Use it to enrich yourself, challange your self, enjoy yourself. If there is a movie you want to see that your husband doesn't care to, then this is your chance to go. Or to a poetry reading, or to a bridal show or whatever it is that floats your boat.
