Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo is great. They have a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner, so you could use that. Here is the link for the product:

You also could try a leave-in conditioner. There are lots of kinds out there. Aussie has a good one.
Pantene Pro-V is not good for your hair! It makes it look shiny because it coats your hair with waxy stuff, but it is damaging.
Good luck! ♥

Pantene Pro-V and Head and Shoulders are crap. I wouldn't use them on a dog. Maybe a dog I didn't like. Here's a hint, if you can find it at Wal-Mart or Target, it's not worth the plastic bottle it comes in. If you have super thick, dry brittle hair, try Redkin Smooth Down, if you have normal hair, just dry, try Redkin All Soft, if you have really fine hair, Redkin Clear Moisture. (I'm a Redkin girl, I find thier products to be high quailty and very reasonably priced, I recomend them to all my clients). You really need to be using a conditioner every time you shampoo. If you've been using drugstore conditioners, they may have been building up in your hair and weighing it down, giving it a waxy appearance (Pantene Pro-V actually coats the hair shaft with carrnuba wax for shine - yuck!). Professional products will rinse clean and not weigh your hair down the same way. You can have the healthiest hair in the world, and shampoo alone will still be drying to it, you need to use a conditioner to replace lost moisture. Other good product lines are Pureology, Halo and Nexxus Phyto Organics.

You might HATE to use a conditioner, but your hair is suffering because of it. Try glycerine on your towel-dried hair for softness and shine. It's the main ingredient in most leave-in treatments and is a lot cheaper when used straight from the drug store. Just a teaspoon will do it.
Shampoo itself is always drying and will always strip your hair of its natural oils. Try the old method of 100 strokes a day brushing your hair to bring up the oils. Also try NOT to shampoo each time you shower, but just rinse it, like every other time. Any products you use are water solluble and will rinse right out, not stripping the oils.
Good Luck!

I recently bought Herbal Essences' Moisturizing Shampoo in the Blue bottle and I swear my hair has never felt so soft. I use conditioner every time I shower, so I don't know how it'll fair on your hair without using conditioner, but you could try it out

Neutrogena Triple Moisture. Use both there shampoo and conditioner together. They do wonders for hair. I have super coarse hair and that is the only hair products I have found that actually make my hair feel like silk.

Well, by switching from shampoo to another makes your hair even more dry. I tend to do that a lot too though , the one's i have tried and liked are Dove, Garnier fructis, and as of right now I'm using AUSSI its an australian brand, you know that commercial with the kangaroo.. its in a purple bottle called and says "moist"

Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner works well....and my hair is dry due to coloring and daily use of a dryer.

I use Dove and then after I get out of the shower I put on Paul Mitchell Straight Works gel (it relaxes my curly hair).
