can anyone define photosynthesis in their own words?

Photosynthesis is a process used by plants, or producers to create their own food. It requires some carbon dioxide, sunlight, and water, and creates oxygen as waste, and glucose. Plants also undergo cellular respiration, as do all living organisms.

Photosynthesis is a photochemical and biochemical process of anabolic metabolism in plants. It is a building-up metabolism in which simpler compounds like carbon dioxide are synthesized in order to create sugars that will be later polymerized as starch (for long-term storage).
