i want to lose about 50 pounds. i was wondering what some good, fun workout ideas are.
i really want to work on my stomach and those nasty fat rolls you get on your back that stick out over your jeans. yuck.
i also would like some ideas for working on my thighs and upper arms. hopefully the double chin will disappear from some of your suggestions as well. thanks in advance. :D

Well, there are many great ways to losing weight. To work on your arms and legs, maybe join a dancing group, that will give you a great workout while still having loads of fun. You could also go for a walk every day, enjoy the fresh air, and lose your belly. There are many useful little things you could do, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, for example. Also, just remember to eat right and lay off the sweets. A little treat is good once in a while, but it shouldn't be an everyday thing.

I've lost about 55 pounds and mostly just went to the gym and ran on the treadmill while either listening to music or watching tv on the little screens on the treadmill. Here is a list of other fun gym activities I would do in addition to the treadmill:
Raquet ball- any one can play and you aren't constantly chasing stray balls.
Tennis- you get a better work out if you already have tennis experience.
Playing with a soccerball- kicking it up against a wall makes you move a lot and you are so focused on the ball that time goes by pretty quickly.

If you aren't coordinated enough to make sports fun you can always attend the free classes that most gyms offer. I've heard that dancing is a fun way to loose weight but I don't think you would loose it as rapidly as if you just stuck to running on the treadmill.

Speaking from experience, you'd be surprised at how toned you get from general exercise. When I lost around 45-50 pounds all of a sudden my muscles started showing through the fat and they are all more defined than they were when I was skinny before getting pregnant.

GOOD LUCK!!

What I can suggest is to do alot of cardio workout (exercise). These kind of workouts make you sweat alot and help you burn that unwanted excess weight. Here are some: jog, hit a punching bag, jump rope and have a good nutritious diet; I know that not everybody likes dieting, but if you want your results to be noticible as fast as possible this is important. Other factors that have a great affect on how soon you see results is your bodys metabolism and genes, basically how quickly your body reacts to the new change. And the most important of all is your will power. I hope this could be of any help, remember to start of soft with the intensity of the exercise. ( I forgot, bicycling and do some push ups will also help, lets not forget sit ups).

The Trim System Body Kit is really good. It focuses on the Protein Plus Diet created by the Better Life Institute which encourgages healthy balanced eating for a lasting lifestyle change.
It also comes with delicious meal supplements like protein bars and shakes and natural supplements like CLA, Citrimax and Chromatemeate so you will curb your appetite and retain muscle while you are losing fat.
For excercise it comes with DVDs that only take 10 minutes per day and focus on the four basics of cardio, weight bearing, core and stretching.
This is simply the easiest, most natural and complete program I know of.
Follow the link below if you'd like to order it.

Invest in an elliptical, treadmill, stationary bike, or something. Then just sit it down right in front of your TV. Figure out if you are going to exercise half an hour with TV, and then relax with it, or if you are only going to watch TV when exercising. Obviously, more rigid plans will yield better results, but are much harder to stick to.

You'll have to diet, too, but there are enough low-fat diet recipes on the internet, so I shouldn't have to go into those details. Regular, consistent exercises a little bit more important, anyway.

Yes.

This diet is healthy, it takes a bit of time to see the results, but they are permanent and you won't feel hungry. Its pretty simple.

Recommended by several heart surgeons'.

In terms of excercise the trick is not to eat more if you excercise more.

I guess, you want to do something with lots of repetitions. Treadmills are good. Check with doctor.

If you are not particularly healthy, you can start with half hour brisk walks.

okay...i will give you the best that i know...

first of all..read...read...read...those little store magazines that write little quick blurbs about food...the more you read the fun stuff about food...the more you will start to understand what you are putting in your mouth.

i grew up very poor...and so we lived off the land...i hated it...but eventually i realized that eating real food will make you happy and healthy and prevent less doctor visits as you grow older...

being overweight is a mind issue....so you need to educate yourself more...if happiness and health matter most to you...

i went to a hypnotherapists...and after one session i no longer crave sodas and chips and cookies...i am a firm believer in this...it is faster than counseling...but doing them both will even be better...

you can do it...if you take baby steps! good luck!

EASY. FIRST OFF... DONT BUY THAT BULLSHIT PILL ON TV THAT MAKES YOU LOSE 150 POUNDS OVER NIGHT. THATS A TRICK FROM THE GOVERMENT TRYING TO LEGALLY SELL YOU THEIR DRUGS AND CHEMICALS. THEY NEVER WORK, THEY JUST KNOW MOST OF US ARE TOO LAZY TO DO THE FOLLOWING:

1. EAT HEALTHY
2. DRINK ALOT OF WATER
3. STAY ACTIVE AND MOTIVATED... AND THATS ALL YOU HAVE TO DO...
