When I was a senior in high school I wanted to lose weight before prom and graduation. I wasn't fat at all. I played sports year round competitevely and worked out all the time. To lose those few extra pounds I started in January and ate yogurt every morning for breakfast and drank about a gallon of water every day. i was peeing constantly! i ate a small lunch, after school of course i was working out and going to practice/games, and then I would eat a good dinner. I ate a lot of homemade grilled chicken salads so they were always fresh. If I wanted to snack I would eat saltines or oranges. I only ate junk on the weekends...and only once a day...so I might have had a bowl of ice cream or something. I didn't over due it. I also drank a lot of milk at home. So between all the milk, yogurt, and water combined w/working my butt off I lost 15lbs in about 3 months. Remember everyone's body is different. I was gaining muscle and losing fat. If you watch what you eat and cut the portions down you should be able to lose weight. Don't starve yourself though. Dont drink any sodas either. They are loaded with sugar and carbs!!! Water is the best way to go. Get flavored water if you can't stand just plain water all the time. Hope this helps you a little bit! I'm sure you look fine though!!!

Eat less, exercise more, go for a walk every day, no snacks after dinner, 4to 6 glasses or more of water every day (when dieting I drink a glass of water before each meal) If you stick with it you can lose 10 pounds by graduation maybe 15.

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both. start walking!!!! cut out ALL junk food, eat leaner cuts of meat and poultry start eating more fruits and veggies (prefferably with out the ranch dressing- sadness i know) cut back on fried foods, like no more b.k or mc'ds!! drink lots of water and lay off sodas of any kind except for maybe once a month so ya dont go insane!!! allow yourself some choc. just every once in a while. just be very aware of what kind of food you are putting in your mouth.
