Yes its possible and probable, but it should not be done. A female Chihuahua can accept and be bred by a dog the size of a Pittbull. If he is the male, he is not to big, females will stretch to accept the male. The tie will be painful for both and dangerous for both. Mostly for the female because of the size diffrence. If she ties with him he will drag her about the house and possibly damage not only her vagina but her pelvis.
To make matters worse Pittbulls are large chested, large, faced, and large jawed. Chihuahuas because of there size already have compromised birth canals and have many problems giving birth to there own breeds puppies, let alone puppies sires by a bulldog breed. She will most likely need a emergency cesarean surgery to rid her of stuck puppies. Also if her pelvis was injured in the breeding with the pittbull then she will have double the complications.
Number one, you should spay and nueter both your dogs, since you are not intelligent to know you dont let male and female dogs around each other when they are in heat, and dont know that they will breed no matter what happens. You are putting your tiny Chihuahua in un needed danger and possibly setting yourself up for a HUGE financial burden if she breeds and you need emergency surgery. THAT is of course you have enough heart to take her in and get it while shes in labor. If the dog sucessfully has the puppies you have just filled the world with a mixture most people will not want. Keep your dogs apart. Please be responsible owner, and dont even harbor one thought about breeding these two. In my eyes trying it would be abuse.

Yes, it is possible.

I think the female has to be the pit bull and the male a chihuahua. A female chihuahua would probably die from large puppies like that. I think it's awful to breed a female chihuahua to a larger dog.

Below is an example of a pit-bull/chihuahua mix up for adoption at a shelter.

All females make their self known around males when in heat. Yet your female is so small,,,if by chance your male pit did get with her she cannot carry these babies full term,,,and not only that she is going to have alot of problems that only your vet will be able to correct, it may cost her life. Do NOT chance it....way to risky for your female. Keep your pit away from her at all costs.

its possible but if the chiwawah is the female dont let it happen. the pups will be far too big for her to even carry and she will die. if that desnt kill her the birthing will. large breed dogs and small breeds should NEVER breed. and to the girl above..... they had that description wrong. it has the build and color of a chiwawah and face and ears of a pit bull. its a cutie though!!

I've heard of weirder things. I would keep them separated when she's in heat. I wouldn't want to see her get hurt. Not saying it's because he's a pit, just saying he's a big male dog, he could hurt her. Are you planning on professionally breeding these guys? I would just get them fixed. Would save you from a lot of problems.

Where there is a will, there is a way with dogs in heat! Keep the female separated from your male at all times and please don't even consider breeding those two!! Be a loving, responsible owner and get your animals spayed and neutered. Btw, it is spelled Chihuahua.

I wouldn't think that would be possible, unless she maybe used him as a trampoline!.. But I've heard weirder things. Seriously though, for the most part if they were to get together" they would get stuck, and you'd know for sure... I doubt that it would happen though. Plus there is only a certain time frame for her to get pregnant during her heat I believe its the 11th to 14th day is the most acceptable time... and there is basically no way for her to carry and birth pups that size.... so all in all...no I wouldn't worry about it.

It would be hard and unlikely but you never know with dogs, they tend to figure out how to do what seems impossible. I wouldn't take the chance, if they did do it, your small dog wouldn't be able to whelp the puppies likely

Ya but it will cause serious damage to her and possible kill her. Get her spayed and your male neutered. That way we don't end up losing more life.

No, the pit is too big for your chihuahua, it won't fit.

The scent of your female being in heat is going to attract every male dog for miles around and he may even try and mount her, but he's too tall and too big.
