My step sister has been wanting to hook me up with a girl she works with and has been telling me a lot about her and I said OK Id talk to her.well I usually don t like to be hooked up with anyone,Id rather approach them myself but Ill try this.My step sister gave me her number to call her but Im thinking about what I say.Its been a week and I still havent called her because Ive been really busy and my stepsister asked her friend if I've called and she says no and my stepsister promises her that I will call.So now I got some time to finaaly call her but what do I say? "Hey so I know about you and you know about me,lets hook up?" How can I break the ice since its kind of awkward meeting someones over the phone like this.help please.

"Hey, I've heard great things about you and I want to find out if they were true. I'm going for some coffee (Or something VERY similar) and you should come along and we could talk. Coffee is good because in case one of us is a freak, we can always run and say "Sorry but I got to go 'floss my cat'."
Only talk for three minutes at most. Then say, "Nice talking to you. I'll see you there. Got to go"

say hello to begin with --- talk about the weather (yes its banal it breaks the ice so to speak) --- if you like each others voice and mode of speaking you can meet for a coffee and see if you want to see each other again (and make sure you leave plenty of time as you may end up having a meal together that day) --- its happened to me -- saying that i decided that i did not want to know the lady better and have not got in touch with her again

just talk to her. ask her how she is doing? what she likes to do for fun. watch she likes to watch on tv. if she would like to meet you in person, her goals etc. hopefully she won't be shy and will also start conversations with you. don't worry so much and just call her. been there done that ,blind date worked for me. good luck
