People have prayed for the death of their enemies before, that's nothing new. It really would depend on why you want the person dead...perhaps you could elaborate.
During the Viking Age to put a "nid" on someone was to put very powerful verbal curse upon them. The power of words was not taken lightly by these efficient warriors, so to make a curse of this kind was very serious. It was the ultimate insult, and used only in dire circumstances.

I would never do that. I would be like asking a Republican judge to overturn Roe v. Wade in the grocery store or something like that. You would be asking God to do something that He would never do unless for a good reason. I suppose that if you wanted the person to die to prevent suffering you could. But not out of pure hatred.
And you would probably pray in a nice church, very formally since its a heavy subject. Make sure you have a rosary and all that jazz.

Death is inevitable "dust unto dust" it will occur on a specified date and time choosen by God almighty. So there is no need to pray for Death to be bestowed for a person actually it is a sin as God has granted a life & no matter what you have to live it. Live it with a smile and positive attitude.

What are you talking about? Do you mean to pray that someone would die? Why? Because they are very ill and dying and you want to spare them the pain? Or because you don't like the person and you want them dead? You can not do the second, that is a curse and it is very, very wrong. The first type falls in the category of mercy. There you can ask God to have mercy on the person. You can not ask God to take them, but you can ask for mercy.

You can't PRAY death on someone, that's witchcraft crap. But you can wish death to come to someone. And that's just a wish, Not magic or faith involved. If you are a Christian or a Jew, that would be a sin. I don't know how Muslims see this wishful thinking. ((Yet again, they wish death for many of us.)

No I never prayed Death on someone. If you are going to pray Death on someone, I don't think it would be God you would be praying to. He would not listen to a prayer like that. You would be praying to Satan. Now he would listen to a prayer like that.

I don't know.
How about soldiers? When people pray for soldiers, are they praying for the deaths of those who they will fight in battle? Does it ever work?
