I think you only know you're in love when the relationship is put through the blender. When things get really tough and you think you never want to see eachother again... and you can even go weeks or months without speaking... but something always brings you back. I think its when you think about that other person 24/7 and not being with them tears you apart. I think its when you hear love songs on the radio and can't help but picture that one person... you find a way to relate them to anything and everything in your everyday life. I think its when someone asks you if you're in love and you can say "yes" without even thinking about it. I think its when you meet that one person who says all the right things at exactly the right time. And its when you hit rock bottom and you can't find a friend... but that person is always there... even when you don't deserve for them to be.
Lust is nothing more than physical attraction... its when you think about him being with someone else and it doesn't really bother you. There are no real feelings there... you could fool around with him and that would be that... no emotional attachment. Lust is much more cold and detached than love... it usually happens most often in lonely people and those with serious fear of commitment.

Love is unconditional and takes time. It is a feeling that you want to be with the person for the rest of your life. Lust is based on attraction and is fast. Usually, it doesn't last long.

Lust= powerful sexy feelings. Like you like a guy and you think hes hot, thats lust.
Love=powerful emotions of attachment, this qualifies for anyone; friends, family, and boyfriends/girlfriends. Mix love and lust together and you have a happy couple.

lust is just wanting to bed the person one or more times --- love is wanting to be with the person with or without sex 24/7 (and caring for them)

generally, lust is when you want to make out, or have sex with someone alot... which is the obvious thing
love is when you (normally) just want to be there with him, not saying anything, but just holding them in your arms
