I always use Bactine and it is INSTANT RELIEF. You can get it at any Walgreens or even Walmart..anywhere . Its in a white and green bottle and is what you put on kids cuts, scrapes. I used it when I got my piercings as well.

Benadryl may help some yes but thats mainly for allergys this is a wound.

One more thing don't listen to the people telling you to put vaseline on your tattoo. Vaseline will draw out your color and cause things to stick to it which could then cause infection.

The place where u had the tattoo made should have given you or at least suggested that you use Antibiotic cream. If you're at the scabbing stage by now, it's really going to itch like a mo-fo and you need to have it checked right away before you get an infection

Do Not scratch it. Slap it with your hand a couple times, that'll dazzle the itch right out of you. It's a temporary fix, but the best way outside an anti-itch cream to handle the problem without screwing up you ink.

Whoever did your tattoo should have given you instructions, call them and ask how to care for it, there is a product called ink fixx that you can apply 4 to 5 times a day while it is healing, this helps to keep it moist, so that it won't dry out and itch so much. DON'T scratch it! And it is normal to itch, I felt like I had a million ant bites when I had mine done, it does pass in due time.

What ever you do don't scratch it. Ignore Hoops Girl, everything itches when it heals, bee stings, cuts, whatever. They all itch, tattoos are no exception. If it's still itching in a week, then go see a doctor.

Maybe some oatmeal cream...good for itching. You should be able to get it where they sell medicinal creams for like chicken pox issues...etc....at the drug store.

Sounds like an infection or an allergy to the ink used. Try Benadryl and call your doctor.
