There are many good and bad about China and its people:
The Good:
1. China history is rich in ancient culture.
2. The food is great ...Cantonese/Sichuan/Shanghaines/etc
3. The Chinese people are hardworking (mostly).
4. The people are willing to embrace anything Western ...LOL
5. Shopping in China is fantastic as one can get ANYTHING!
6. Silk products are plenty and cheap.
7. Counterfeits goods are plenty too..esp. branded stuff
8. Beautiful sceaneries around the countryside.
9. The fruits are especially sweet, exotic and delicious eg.
peach, small kumquats, pomelos, fraqrant pears.
The Bad:
1. Majority of the Chinese people are very rude.
2. The Chinese don't know the meaning of "queue up"
3. Spitting everywhere....road, buses, trains, hotels, restaurants,
elevators, sidewalks, you name it. Be careful where you
walk in China...DANGER!
4. The Chinese quarrel everywhere and everyday.. with
a stranger AND/OR the police. They don't respect the law.
5. They talk on their cell phones VERY LOUDLY and don't care
that they are disturbing others with their loud conversation.
6. They drive recklessly and blare their horns non-stop. A ride
on a taxi can give a foreigner a heart attack.
7. Most of the Chinese are cheaters and out to swindle money.
8. The Chinese will raise the prices of their goods by 150% if
they are selling to a foreigner!!
9. The Chinese men can pee anywhere...bushes, sidewalks or
even stop their cars by the highway and do their business.
10. The public toilets are the dirtiest I've ever seen in my life...
the same for most restaurants. Some even have no doors..
just cubicles for you to squat and do your thing!!
11. The Chinese embraces everything that is Western without
knowing the real meaning...eg: Easter/Halloween/
Thanksgiving/St Patrick's Day or even for some Chinese, the
real meaning of Christmas. They celebrate it just to appear
cool and to hang out with the expats at pubs and cafes.
12. Last but not least, majority of the Chinese women are out to
"catch" an expat with the hope of marrying one of them
for a better life out of China. Some don't give a damn whether
the men are married or not, as long as the men are willing,
the Chinese women will start an affair. Blackmailing men is
very common too...just ask your own countrymen and
they won't deny it.
There you go, this is what I think of China and its people.

I have lived in China now for three years. Here are some very general comments:
I love the food and ancient culture.
I hate the way Chinese drive (absolutely the worst drivers on the planet).
I love the low cost of living
I hate the too rapid development at the expense of history.
I love the Chinese people personally.
I hate the absolute rudeness of Chinese people, whether walking on the street, trying to get off an elevator or subway car, and Chinese inability to form a queue or follow signs.
I love the art of China.
I hate the Chinese spitting everywhere - on the street, on sidewalks, on carpets, in elevators, on the subway, ad infinitum.
I love the way that Chinese work so very hard.
I hate seeing people wearing pajamas on the streets and clothes hanging out to dry everywhere.
I could go on, but ....

Nee hao ma? Did I spell that right. I really admire the Chinese for so many reasons. They are hard working, dedicated to family and occupation and the food (real Chinese food) is very good and healthy. I have a friend from Northern living by the Yellow Sea and he cooks for us sometimes, and even orders at Chinese restaurants things not even on the menu and it is SO good. I am planning a trip to China someday because I am fascinated with so many aspects of the country. We will see the Great Wall and the forbidden City, and much more.

I love China. Prob more than I can express in my lifetime. I love the language, it is always spoken so beautifully. And I admire those who live in China, who keep the old traditions. And I wish I was more like them.
There has been so many wars and fights in the past, but you're culture always thrives...
But other wise it hurts whenever I see pictures or when I read stories of some of the poor living areas and how the people living in them. their lives. And I wish I could help. If I could I would work for a year over here(america-florida) and then go over to china and travel all around and help out. Pay for things, if the family would allow me to or help with work to ease burdens.
And I don't like it that there is a rule about how each couple can only have one child.
But overall I love your country.

You claimed which you in basic terms hate government, and want China be extra useful.i don't think of China would be extra useful if many human beings think of such as you. And one component you're able to comprehend:LOVING united states isn't equivalent TO LOVING government.you are able to not make a assertion that abuses chinese language.disgrace ON YOU. i'm Kazari,a chinese language which you planned to be stupid.

I have met many Chinese in the course of doing business, and I have found them to be courteous, gracious and fun to be with.
China itself, remains somewhat of a mystery to the Western World. For years it was closed to visitors, and we heard about the Cultural Revolution and how many Teachers, Doctors, and other professional men were sent for "rehabilitation". China has a a hsitory that goes back thousands of years, with a culture to match those years.

china will become the next economical power in the world.
but first have to fix its city and country sides gap problems
and stop killing baby girls, and make rule like 2 kids per family, but have to be boy and girl, so they can make girls live, and fix that 1:6 ratio of girl:boy.
personally i like china to get good, but i hate chinese, since chinese from china eat like a pig, talk while eat stick their chopsticks in to food, rude, selfish etc. i can name it all but this is enough.
dont tell me to shut up and stop being raceist, because you dont know what its like, and they are raceist too, they hate japanese ( i can understand, cuz japanese killed chinese, but how about russians? they invaded china after WWII and was brutal as japanese. how about americans? they were too, British... just think more, im saying if you hate japanse hate all the others too, im not telling you to like japanese lol)

china is a big country that violates human rights principles. They control their population by limiting the number of kids you may have and they torture those who speak out against the government. China is a very bad country

When i think of china i get kinda pissed of because I'm a Tibetan Buddhist (not by blood, by religion) and they completely destroyed Tibet when they were absolutely defenseless and really peaceful but i know that was a long time ago and i think (and hope) it has changed.
