oh.....thats so sweet
a guy does that to me every day he see's me but i don't think he does that because he likes me but only because i told him i loved his voice.

Generally speaking, its the wrong approach.
Best approach?
Ask the person out to some "neutral" outings. Stuff that don't quite quality as dates. See how the chemistry unfolds.
If you feel comfortable after a few times. Tell the person you really enjoyed yourself and you like spending time with them.
See how they react.
