Can God make a rock that even He can't move? If he can't make the rock then he can't make something. But if he can make it then he can't move it! AHHH!! Mind boggling.

If our Heavenly Father hath made something He can do what He will with it. It is our job not to understand His will, it is our job to follow it.

There is something that it is impossible for God to do. Hebrews 6:18 says that "it is impossible for God to lie". So how do you lie? You speak something untrue. Does this scripture mean that God cannot speak? No. But it means that God's perfect righteousness would not allow Him to lie. He does not lie. He would never lie. So it is impossible for God to lie.
So back to the silly riddle....There is no limit to God's wisdom and he would not choose to make something too heavy to move. But everything the Creator makes is inferior to Him. Nothing he makes could be greater than him. That just doesn't happen. For example, just think of how huge our Galaxy is! Then to think of the many many galaxies much bigger than ours that are out there. The heavens are huge!!! We don't know where it begins or ends! Yet, 2 Chronicles 2:6 says about God "For the heavens and the heaven of the heavens cannot contain him"!

my answer is yes - God can make a rock that even He can't lift. God can do anything.
my son says no - God doesn't have arms and hands so how could He lift a rock?

But maybe even if He could make the rock that He himself can't move (because he created it to be that way), then maybe he could create strength that will create it's own temporary strength bigger than his and give that temporary strength to Jesus or an angel to move the rock instead.

No. Science disproves this. Otherwise there would be no Big Bang.
Science says you can't make a rock that big or else it would autoamtically explode into smaller pieces that can be moved.

We do not know what he knows. God in my religion is not something that is easy to comprehend. We have such a small percent of knowledge of the world. God goes beyond the realms of logic. At least thats what I believe.

this might be a sillly answer but if god made the planet then whats stopping him from buliding that rock that cant be moved cause he doesnt have to move it if he doesnt want to!
