Not that I know of. But I wish my cat did that. It depends on whether you mind the cat doing that or not. If you prefer that he uses a litter box like other cats, then you should try to keep him out of the bathroom. But it might be hard to get him back to a litter box if you choose to do that, since that your cat is a stray, and it sounds like wherever this cat was before you adopted him, the people there trained him to use the toilet. But if you don't mind the cat using your toilet, you could use this behaviour to your advantage and teach him to flush the toilet as well. Which can be done. To do this, if your toilet is a push button flush entice him with a toy or a treat just on top of the button, he will try to get at the toy or the treat and therefore flushing the toilet at the same time. If you keep doing this, he will get the idea that flushing the toilet equals a treat for him.

Yep, my grandparents had a siamese (someone else mentioned their siamese, I wonder if they're prone to picking this up?) that would use the toilet! She didn't know how to flush though. How rediculus that the first poster thought that was gross, I mean, that's what the toilet is FOR! Now drinking out of it would be gross.
Be happy, you can spend less on kitty litter now since it won't go through it as fast (although you should keep a box around, just in case).

His former owners likely taught him, it's very easy to do. We had 2 siamese that used the toilet regularly.

My dad had a cat that did this. Personally I think that it is gross. Keep the bathroom door shut if you dont want him to do it.
