I'm married since 2005. Wife only worked 5 months in 2006 and made $12k and spent 3 months abroad. I made $40K. We live together and own a home. No kids.

Any advice would be much appreciated. TY!

Jointly.

You will get a better rate than filing seperately. . .

When you file your taxes you always want to do it in the most favorable way. If your married that is jointly. You will get back a lot more money that way.

Do it both ways and see how it comes out best. Sometimes when there is a big difference in income its better to file seperately. But you never know until you do it.

Filing a joint return will probably save you some money over filing separately.
