I recently came upon a blog where this guy from Ireland was talking about the Irish dating system. He was saying that you meet a girl at a pub and ask for her phone number and then a week later you call her up to "meet" with you. Which basically means to makeout. I also read that you never usually go on a real date until you're in your 20's. I really like this guy I met who lives in Ireland but how do I know if he wants to makeout with me..or date me? He's 26 and I'm 25.

Ok, just to clear things up. The two people that said those things are not the same as the guy I'm going to meet. I'm talking about three different people.

Yup, I think he was kidding you too. But, I think it would be a good idea to let him know what your own ground rules are regarding dating, that way he cant really complain. And to be honest, if all he really wants to do is 'make out', well, then he's really not worth the time or trouble. Good luck, I hope it works out for you.
