I have a 1977 Dodge D-100 With a transmission (Not Origninal) that will not go in reverse! What should I do?

I checked the fluid already, it was fine!

Never park in A place where you have to back out. You can work with it.. Maybe you'll have to park a distance away. But hey ~ya got a ride!

Have you checked the connecting links to make sure they are not in a bind or too loose?
