I work with someone who is in the country illegally. He was an El Salvadoran soldier fighting alongside coalition forces in Iraq. Isnt there anything he can do to become legal? What is the best way for him to not have to worry about being deported? Would it be easy for him to join up with the American army? He is 28. Does enlistment put you on the fast track to citizenship? thanks for you help

yes it does ....... i don;t know the details of it but contact an immigration lawyer or the us army itself . we thought about that option when trying to get my husband legal and i spoke with an army recruiter good luck and hope this helps also the sooner he signs up since he is already there the better ......oh_hell
