I've always dreamed of having a Mercedes-Benz or Land Rover, but I also like BMW and Lexus. I've read and seen various reports saying the Mercedes, BMW, and Land Rover have had numerous problems with their vehicles and are not very reliable. I think that if I'm going to spend a lot of money for a luxury vehicle then It should be reliable and NOT be in the shop getting serviced. Please Help.

Get a Mercedes Benz. Don't worry about the other stuff. Besides, if your car is in the shop, most luxury car dealers offer you a no-charge loaner vehicle, so it's not big deal.

VW TDI, best car in the world, period -- my '03 has 128,000 miles, zero repairs, heated leather seats, sunroof, heated power mirrors, alum wheels, etc. etc., etc., hauls like a station wagon . . . because it is a station wagon (Jetta wagon), outruns a VR6 and averages 48 mpg.
