No hammorrhoids do not cause cancer. If cancer cells are already available in the body that to in that place and when a surgery is performed to treat hamorrhoids then these cancer cell may trigger off resulting in cancer.

No they couldn't. It just leaks blood. It could cause an infection, but it has nothing to do with cancer. If you get one as a child I suggest you consult a doctor.

Not that I know of. I get them from time to time after a trip to the john. It sucks to have them but they go way after a few days on their own. If it really bothers you, get some cream like preperation H or something like that. The best way to prevent them it to not force when you go. I know I can't do that. It's nothing to be scared about I wouldn't think.
