I have an eight week old half american bull dog half husky puppy, and hes obsessed with chewing on people and clothes. Hes like wearing shackles when I try to walk, and I have red marks all over my arms where he bites me. Ive tried gently spanking him but he thinks Im playing and just bites more. He does this the ENTIRE times hes awake.

Say no in a firm but not loud voice and either pick him up by the scruff of his neck until he either starts yelping or stops squirming. It may seem harsh, but it's no different than what his mother would do if he bit him. He's trying to see if you're just like his littermates, who he would bite and chew on - don't let him!

Don't put him in his crate as a punishment! The dogs crate should be like a den for him, a safe place for him to hide. Don't let him associate it with something bad!

I would suggest that you take your pup to obedience school.
Alot of people think it's a silly idea, but it will really help, and
it will only take a few weeks before you have better control
of your dog. Hitting the dog isn't a good idea cause it just
teaches them to be more aggressive, and I think you already
have that problem. Some dogs just need to learn how to act
properly and we don't always have the right ideas no matter how
much we try. Think about taking him to obedience classes.

he is trying to get your attention
the best thing to do is every time he bites you put him in his crate and ignore him for a minute
when he comes out if the first things he does is bite, put him back in his crate for another two minutes

reapeat, and if he lunges to bite, put him back

eventually he will do something else, like go for a drink of water, take a crap, etc, then MAKE A HUGE FUSS OVER HIM give him love and attention, then if he bites, lock him away for a minute and repeat the whole process over

within a week you should notice results

Make a loud high pitched noise when he bites you. Simliar to a puupy if you will if he bit too hard. Get a kong. You can stuff with all kinds of things. You can also freeze them.

At 8 weeks old, he's probably playing or teething.

You're going to have to teach him that you're the boss. When he starts to bite, tell him 'No!' in a firm voice. And if he does it again, swat him. You may want to keep a rolled-up newspaper handy: Most dogs know by instinct what that is.

Good luck!

It is true that you should not hit a dog. I would enroll in a training class that uses possitive reinforcement, Like Petsmart.

well, then trained him to stop biting you, dont be too harsh on him, and dont be a pushover either. sure they r cute, but if u dont act fast, the puppy will think it has control over u, and can do whatever he wants.

A rolled up newspaper across the nose and it has to be immediately after he has done it. You also have to say No, in a very stern voice to let him know that it was not appropriate.
